Course Description

Interested in becoming a great barista? This course will give you the expertise you need to make the best possible coffee, with emphasis on both coffee theory and practice!

  • If your goal is you want to learn Barista techniques, you should take class. In this program, you will get basic classes such as:
    - Introduction to Coffee.
    - Sensory class (Strengthening the sense of smell and taste)
    - Manual Brewing Class (Brewing coffee without machine)
    - Coffee Cupping (Observing the tastes and aromas of brewed coffee with international standard protocol)
    - Basic Espresso (Introduction to Espresso)
    - Latte Art (Method of preparing coffee created by pouring microfoam into a shot of espresso)

Course Content

Introduction to Coffee 
What is coffee, what does it look like, and how is it harvested and processed?
Sensory Class
Learn how to judge the characteristics of coffee using your sense of taste & smell.
Cupping Class
Study the way the quality and tasting notes of coffee are judged through cupping, as well as the rules and regulations of cupping sessions.
Manual Brewing
Practice brewing coffee manually with pour-over and immersion methods.
Basic Espresso
Study espresso calibration, recipes, and make your own espresso!
Milk Steaming & Latte Art
Learn how to steam milk and the basics of latte art.
